Occupational Health and Safety
Unlike other organizations, the HMC Group does not simply aim to achieve Victorian OHS legislative compliance. Huntingdale Cranes, HMC Equipment & HMC Sales & Service all have an objective to achieve a level of occupational health and safety which is above and beyond what is required by current Victorian OHS legislation. We believe that in order to effectively service our clients, we must ensure that our systems, policies, procedures and practices exceed what is required of us by current Victorian Occupational Health and Safety legislation covering plant.
The HMC Group has developed OHS management systems that effectively address the risks associated with all of our Mobile Cranes, Tele Handlers and general plant and equipment. We take pride in our Fleet of plant and equipment and ensure that thorough assessments are undertaken by suitably qualified professionals to identify and evaluate the risk of accident or injury associated with each item of plant. Following these meticulous assessments, our team of expert's implements control and preventative measures that eliminate or reduce the risk of injury or accident as far is reasonably practicable.
HMC Group of Companies considers OHS from the initial purchasing stages via consultation with plant manufacturers and suppliers, right through to the servicing, maintenance, operation, lifespan of the plant, transport and hire stages. We select and purchase plant based on its level of safety and quality, to ensure client satisfaction.
The recent adaptation of QA systems rating to ISO 9001/2000 has also completed the full range of certifications to where we now consider OHS and Quality Systems as an integral aspect of the organization and believes that these superior standards are fundamental to the productive and successful operation of the organization.
Our systems are structured so that our staff and clients can be provided the peace of mind where safety and safe operation, with as much information and instruction as practicable is supplied to ensure that each understands the hazards associated with each item of plant, whether it is Mobile Cranes or general plant and offers protective and preventative measures that can be implemented to further reduce the risk to health and safety during operation.
